Terms of service
Terms of Service
These terms cover your use of arippula.com and any order you place with us. By using the site or buying from us, you're agreeing to them. Please read them — they're short, and we've kept the legalese to what's actually necessary.
Using the site
You need to be at least 16 to use the site and at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to place an order.
You may browse, share and buy. You may not scrape the site, copy our product photography or descriptions for your own shop, resell our bags as your own brand, attempt to break or overload the site, or use it for anything unlawful.
Our bags
We photograph every bag as accurately as we can, but screens differ — colours may vary slightly from what you see. Dimensions are given to the nearest centimetre and can vary a little between individual bags, because they're made from natural materials.
Where we state a material, weight or measurement, it's what our maker has confirmed. If you ever find one of our specs wrong, tell us — we'll correct it and make it right for you.
Everything is subject to availability. Occasionally a bag sells out between your order and our packing it; if that happens we'll email you and refund you in full, immediately.
Prices
Prices are shown in euros and include VAT where applicable. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay.
Shipping is shown before you pay. Where our site says shipping is free to your country, it is free — there's no charge added later.
Customs and duties: orders shipped outside the EU may attract import duties or taxes on arrival. These are set by your country, not by us, and are your responsibility. We'll always declare your order honestly and at its real value.
We try hard to price correctly, but if an obvious error appears — a €90 bag listed at €9 — we're not obliged to honour it. We'll contact you, explain, and refund you in full if you don't want to proceed at the correct price.
Orders
Your order is an offer to buy. Our order confirmation email acknowledges we received it; the contract forms when we dispatch your bag.
We may decline an order — rarely, and only for reasons like a product being out of stock, a pricing error, a payment we can't verify, a delivery address we can't ship to, or a suspected fraudulent or reseller order. If we decline, you're refunded in full immediately.
Payment
We accept the methods shown at checkout. Payment is taken when you order.
Your card details go directly to our payment providers and are never stored by us. See our for what we do hold.
Shipping and delivery
The dispatch date shown on a product page — "ships by [date]" — is when your parcel leaves us. Delivery time after that depends on your carrier and destination, and the estimate is shown at checkout.
We dispatch on time or we tell you. If we can't meet the date shown, we'll email you before it passes and you can wait or cancel for a full refund.
Risk passes to you when the parcel is delivered to your address. If it doesn't arrive, that's our problem to solve, not yours — see our page.
Returns, refunds and cancellation
You have 30 days from delivery to return any bag, for any reason or none, with free return shipping and no questions asked. The full process is in our policy, which forms part of these terms.
If you're in the EU, you also have a statutory right to withdraw within 14 days of receiving your order. Our 30-day policy is in addition to that right and does not limit it.
Guarantee and your legal rights
If stitching or hardware fails through normal use within 12 months, tell us and we'll replace the bag. That's our own commercial guarantee, offered freely.
It does not replace or limit your legal rights. You keep the full benefit of the statutory guarantee of conformity and the guarantee against hidden defects under French consumer law, including the two-year period for goods, whatever our own guarantee says. Where the two differ, whichever gives you more applies.
Intellectual property
The Arippula name, our logo, our product names, our photography, and the text on this site belong to us. Our bag designs and any artist collaborations are used under licence or owned by us.
You may share our photos on social media with credit. You may not use them commercially, in a shop of your own, or in advertising, without our written permission.
Reviews and anything you post
When you leave a review or send us a photo of your bag, you keep ownership of it, but you give us permission to show it on our site, in our emails and on our social channels, with your first name or handle.
Please only post things you have the right to post. We may remove content that's unlawful, abusive, or not genuinely about a product — but we don't remove reviews for being negative. A shop that only shows five-star reviews isn't telling you anything.
Accounts
If you create an account, keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has it. You're responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete it anytime by emailing support@arippula.com.
Links to other sites
Where we link elsewhere, we're not responsible for what's there or for their privacy practices.
Our liability
We're responsible for loss you suffer that's a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care.
We're not responsible for loss that wasn't foreseeable, or for business losses — these terms cover consumers buying for personal use.
Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected by anything in this section.
Things outside our control
If something genuinely beyond our control delays us — a carrier strike, extreme weather, a customs closure — we'll tell you as soon as we can and give you the choice of waiting or cancelling for a full refund. We won't be liable for the delay itself, but we also won't keep your money while you wait.
If something goes wrong
Email support@arippula.com first. Most things get sorted in one message.
If we can't resolve it together, you may refer the dispute free of charge to our consumer mediator: [MEDIATOR NAME, ADDRESS, WEBSITE]. You can also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform at .
These terms are governed by French law, and you can always bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it, so changes never apply retroactively to a purchase you've already made.
